Mobile broadband coverage
Our mobile broadband is already fast - giving you a lightning quick internet connection. But we've not stopped there.
We're doubling our network capability this year, using 14.4Mbps, 21.6Mbps and higher technologies.
This means even more of our customers will enjoy greater reliability and better average connection speeds on their existing devices.
What can I expect?
With an average download speed of 1.3Mbps, you should be able to download files in these times:

With our extra network capacity, these download speeds could be twice as fast. Even faster in places like big cities. So you'd have the files in half the time - or less.

Judges at the ISPA looked at the speed and reliability of our network, as well as value for money.
The judges said they were impressed by our coverage, our range of contracts and the options we give for using mobile broadband overseas. Which is why they awarded us Best Consumer Mobile Broadband 2009.

Improving our network
We added 1500 new base stations to our network last year. In 2010 we're more than doubling this. And we'll also add extra coverage at big events like music festivals and sporting events.
Our industry leading next generation network provides even greater capacity and reliability, with backup if there's a problem or exceptionally high demand. The result? You get a network you really can rely on.
